Webb designs display for the Italian Government Festa Della Repubblica celebration in New York
Webb display design was featured at the Italian Government Festa Della Repubblica celebration in New York. This project was sponsored by Italian Consulate General, Italian Trade Commission, Italian Cultural Institute and Italian Tourist Board. This is a continuation of the use of this versatile display, created to be utilized in various applications and venues. Webb's 50-foot display design highlights Italian Art, Culture, and Literature. The installation greeted the 1000 attendees and served as a backdrop for the event at Cipriani Wall Street.
Sicily and Tuscany were the two regions spotlighted at the party. This event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the publication of the novel, "Il Gattopardo", and the 150th anniversary of Puccini's birth. Peter Gelb, the General Manager of the Metropolitan Opera, was bestowed the Puccini International Award. Giovanni Castellaneta, Italian Ambassador to the U.S., also spoke. President Bush had declared June 2nd "Italian Independence Day", a holiday recognized in the U.S.
This display has also been used by The Italian Cultural Institute in New York at various trade shows.
