Webb Communications Updates
Who's
Who? Marquis Who's Who, That's Who.
Webb
Communications recently completed a site update
project for Marquis Who's Who, a division of Reed Elsevier
Inc. The project entailed a complete site redesign of
www.MarquisWhosWho.com,
creation of an interactive flash site tour, and update
of a key back-end business system for America's oldest
and most prestigious publisher of biographical reference
materials.
Webb
has had the pleasure of working for Marquis Who's
Who since early 2000, when the company first commissioned
us to do an earlier redesign and to develop a critical
database / business system which enabled Who's Who
to collect biographical information for industry leaders
via the web, track bio. submissions, and review, approve,
or reject submitted bios. The key benefits of the
system include the elimination of data re-entry, the
ability to closely track effectiveness of ads and
promotions, and easing the ability of professionals
wishing to submit their data for publication. Another
key part of Webb's work for Marquis Who's Who entailed
the update of the company's members-only on-line purchasing
system, where commemorative merchandise can be ordered,
such as plaques, watches, and other corporate gifts.
The
new Marquis Who's Who site design is sleek
and easy to navigate, making it easy for visitors
to learn about Marquis' products and services. The
new on-line Flash tour created by Webb leads visitors
through an interactive tour of the company's latest
on-line database product. This new product enables
subscribers to access a database of more than 1-million
leaders and notable figures, past and present.

Webb produces banners of Italy's 20 Regions
Webb recently completed a cultural design project
for the Sons of Italy in New York. Webb developed
and produced banners representing the 20 regions of
Italy. The project's objective was to promote the
unique history and cultural identity of each region
of Italy. The banners are 6ft x 4ft in size and will
make a powerful presentation when displayed together.
They will be used throughout New York state and, potentially,
at the national level.
