Webb Communications Designs and Launches New York City Museum Web Site: The Italian American Museum




Webb Communications designed and developed the new web site for the Italian American Museum in New York City, www.italianamericanmuseum.org. Webb developed and designed the site's architecture, navigational layout and visuals. The site contains information on museum exhibitions news and events. Additionally, Webb developed the ecommerce component to allow for online membership donations. An online store will also be incorporated to purchase exhibition catalogues, books and other items. Webb Communications vice president John Battista De Santis and design director Barbara Buenz collaborated with museum director Dr. Joseph Scelsa and vice president Maria Fosco to produce this visually rich site which documents the Italian American and Italian experience. "This has been be an exciting project" explained John Battista De Santis, vice president of Webb Communications. "We were happy to assist the museum in its mission and help to develop this new online window to the museum and we look forward to expanding the site as the museum grows."

 

Webb Vice President John Battista De Santis Elected to Board of Directors of The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce

On April 8th the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce held its annual corporate meeting at IACC headquarters in New York. Webb Vice President John Battista De Santis was elected to the Board of Directors. The board of directors provides leadership and sets the chambers policy for activities, initiatives and future growth. Founded in 1887, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest in the United States. The IACC is an independent private, not-for profit U.S. corporation, managed by Executive Director, Franco De Angelis. The chamber represents the interests of companies that have, or are interested in establishing business relations between the U.S. and Italy. The Chamber is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a founding member of the European-American Chamber of Commerce.



Webb Designs and Produces America & Italia Weekly Magazine

Webb designed and launched the latest online issue of America & Italia Weekly (www.AIWeekly.com), a national weekly news magazine focusing on political, economic and cultural affairs of Italy and America. Webb developed the site design and architecture. This is a continuation of the collaboration between Webb and America & Italia Weekly's publisher Dr Joseph Scelsa and Executive Editor Stefano Vaccara. Webb will continue to maintain the site content for new issues. Webb also provided the original site design, creation of the AI Weekly logo, design templates for the print version, and will provide creative direction for future initiatives.
